The Institute for Tourism and Leisure (ITF) is the tourism department of HTW Chur. We are Switzerland’s most important university-level institution for education, further training and research in the tourism and leisure industries and have both national and international appeal.
Through applied research and practical projects, we contribute to the development of the tourism industry. Especially the revitalisation process for Swiss and Graubünden tourism is actively supported. For this purpose, the institute concentrates on the research fields of Service Innovation, Tourism 4.0, Management of Tourism Real Estate and Infrastructure as well as Sustainable Development. In cooperation with destinations, service providers and associations as well as stakeholders from the world of politics and administration departments, solutions for business, social and political issues relating to tourism and leisure are developed.
With event series, like for example the Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS), students’ projects and publications, the Institute for Tourism and Leisure (ITF) encourages exchanges of experience between the fields of science, economy and politics.
