You can attend a wide range of bachelor’s, master’s and further education courses at HTW Chur.
Bachelor’s degree programmes
A bachelor’s degree programme represents the first level of study in the Swiss higher education system and comprises 180 ECTS credits. Admission to a bachelor’s degree programme generally requires a federally recognised school-leaving certificate (Matura) or an equivalent foreign qualification. With a bachelor’s degree programme, you obtain a university degree that qualifies you for your chosen profession within three (full-time study) or four (part-time study) years. An employment level of no more than 60% is permitted alongside part-time study.
Master’s degree programmes
Master of Science (MSc) are master’s degree programmes that follow on directly from a bachelor’s degree programme or that require the completion of a bachelor’s degree programme in advance. A Master of Science can serve to deepen the scientific knowledge acquired during a previous study programme or open up new areas of knowledge. These courses are also referred to as consecutive or follow-on master’s degrees. An employment level of no more than 60% is permitted alongside the study programme.
Further education programmes
Further education courses serve to open up new areas of knowledge or deepen existing knowledge in a certain field. There are various types of further education programme: Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Advanced Studies (MAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS), Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) and specialist courses. Our further education programmes are aimed at individuals who already have professional experience. It is also possible to be admitted to a further education course without a school-leaving certificate or a bachelor’s degree. An employment level of at least 60% to 80% is required alongside the further education course.
